This artwork is a large-scale piece that expresses hope, longing, and the eternal neshama of man, along with our everlasting connection to Hashem. At the center are two candles, their flames small yet protected within a cluster of people. These represent the Bibas children, whose souls live on for eternity. The piece reflects both prayer and hope—the yearning for an end to all suffering, and the deep knowledge that tefilla connects us back to our Source.
In the corner, a drum is hidden—an homage to Yotam, the murdered hostage who was a drummer and, like the Bibas children, also a redhead. The drum recalls the rhythm played by the women at Kriyat Yam Suf, pointing toward the ultimate redemption we long for and will one day celebrate.
The work is created mainly in acrylics, with strong use of orange and green tones to reflect the army, and vivid red highlights representing the Bibas children’s and Yotam’s red hair.
